Lunch and Learn

Cornerstone Medical Management is introducing a new service. The "Lunch and Learn" series will provide you with an hour-long presentation on a topic pertinent to todays healthcare environment. Speakers and topics with vary. You can register for one or purchase the entire month's classes – you choose. Each registered participant will receive a copy of handouts (if used) and notes from each class.

All you need to participate is a computer with access to the internet and a telephone.

The cost for each class is $30.00 or you can subscribe to the entire month for $100.00. Illinois doctors requiring CME credit must add $5.00 per class to the cost and let us know when you register.

One of the most frequent denials seen in recent months is the denial of physical therapy services. Correctly coding and billing these items is a large part of getting paid for them – but only part of the picture. Find out which codes are being "watched" - and how to effectively and efficiently document the CPT codes. Terry will show you exactly what pieces of information are needed for each service and how to document their use in both the treatment plan and daily notes.

Dr. Horn is a certified insurance consultant as well as a practicing chiropractic physician and medical compliance specialist. Dr. Kari will take you thru the chiropractic examination and identify the most common errors made in documenting the examination. She will help you understand which E&M codes are appropriate to use – to help eliminate those "not medically necessary" denials.

Dr. Boileve is a well-known expert on personal injury and workers compensation in Illinois. This course will help identify your rights and responsibilities in a personal injury case. Dr. Carlos will address liens, documentation, common fund doctrine and other items to watch for. He will teach you how to protect yourself and arm you with the knowledge required to make sure you get paid on your PI cases.

May 26, 2010 Medicare Basics – Presented by Terry Coy, MCS-P

This class will address the most commonly asked questions with regard to Medicare and Chiropractic: Par vs. Non-par? ; How to properly diagnose conditions covered by Medicare; How to use of the ABN form; Modifiers. Terry will also address some common situations that help "invite" a Medicare audit.
